TradingView
Free Charting for Market Research
A charting platform that's genuinely free to use indefinitely, no card required — and the one I actually pull up first to see how the broader markets are doing before looking at anything else.
Unlike most "free trial" tools, TradingView's free plan doesn't expire and doesn't ask for a credit card to start — you can sign up and just start charting. Below is a live chart embedded directly from TradingView so you can see it in action, plus an honest look at what each paid tier actually unlocks if you ever decide you need more than the free plan offers.
All four paid tiers come with a free trial before you're charged anything — no card-required trap like some other tools on this site. Essential, Plus, and Premium all include a 30-day trial; Ultimate's trial runs 14 days. Annual billing knocks the effective monthly rate down noticeably across every tier, so I've listed both below.
| Plan | Price/mo (Annual) | Price/mo (Monthly) | Free Trial | Charts per Tab | Watchlist Alerts |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $0 | $0 | No trial needed — free forever | 1 | — |
| Essential | $12.95 | $14.95 | 30 days | 2 | — |
| Plus | $29.95 | $34.95 | 30 days | 4 | — |
| Premium Closest to What I'd Pay | $59.95 | $69.95 | 30 days | 8 | 2 |
| Ultimate | $199.95 | $239.95 | 14 days | 16 | 15 |
Already on a paid plan? Using this link still gets you $15 off your next subscription if you ever refer someone new.
The link above is a TradingView referral link, not a commission-based affiliate link. If someone signs up through it and subscribes to a paid plan within 3 months, I receive a $15 discount code toward my own TradingView subscription — not a cash payout. I use TradingView myself, regularly, for the reasons described above.
